Course Description :

Definitions of Economics, economic system, microeconomics and its applications; demand, supply, production, market structure (goods and factors), market failure; macroeconomics and its applications; national income, monetary and fiscal policies, financial market, open economy, economic growth and income distribution.

What to expect?

This is a compulsory course for freshmen. Students will learn the general principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. This course will provide the broad range of economic concepts, theories, and analytical tools necessary for the upper-level economic courses.  The in-class assignments are aimed to help students apply the materials and stimulate class discussion.
