The first institution of higher learning in Thailand, Chulalongkorn University has evolved largely in response to the changing needs and requirements of the country and its people. For more than a century, the University has been growing in size as well as in interests and activities. In those long years of growth development, Chulalongkorn University has always maintained its commitment to continue improvement in the quality of its students imbuing in them both scholarship and professional competence.
Chulalongkorn University now has 13,391 graduate students and 24,951 undergraduate students in a variety of programs. Chulalongkorn may, in many ways, be seen as a pacesetter among Thailand’s higher educational institutions. It has often attracted the close attention of its academic peers and the public, and has exerted substantial influence in shaping the country’s higher educational orientation in general, and the direction of specific academic disciplines and approaches.
